We made a very last-minute decision to go to New York last week to see family. I hadn’t been since 2022, which was kind of hard to believe. I used to go once, or even twice, a year, but lately the pull of New York (and the USA, to be perfectly honest) hasn’t been as strong. If it weren’t for family, this trip probably wouldn’t have happened.

I was able to spend time with both of my sisters and their kids, as well as my parents and an aunt, which meant a big group that rarely ends up together in one place. It made the trip feel especially meaningful.

Since so many of you asked for details, here they are. It was mostly a mix of old favorites, but old favorites are favorites for a reason. So here’s how we traveled, where we stayed, what we ate, and what we saw.
