I love intensely seasonal and local recipes but I realize that often ,when I share them with you, you are far away from the original location and that the season has long since passed. The following is a recipe I learned (and ate!) at a farm in Sicily a few weeks ago. And even though the farmers literally pulled the ingredients off the trees minutes before we ate, I’m 100% sure you can pull this off any time of the year, where ever you are.
There are dozens of variations of pasta al limone all over the south of Italy. One of my favorites is served in this restaurant in Rome and I learned this delicious dish on the Amalfi coast. But this one below from Sicily has got to be one of the simplest - and most delicious - I’ve had. It is so straightforward and easy, I’m sure you’ll be making it tonight. If you do, let me know!
