We’re thrilled to announce our newest itinerary: Via Rosa is heading to Sardinia! Sophie and I have been dreaming up this journey for the past two years, and we’re excited to finally share it with you.
Here’s Sophie to tell you more about it:
Italy is a country where every region tells its own unique story, rich with history, culture, and flavors. Even after a lifetime here, I’m still amazed by how different each region feels, as if every trip takes you to a whole new world. Sardinia, or Sardegna as we say in Italy, gave me that exact feeling when I visited as a child—a place so magical it felt like a secret world full of hidden treasures and endless discoveries.
Sardinia, one of Italy’s two largest islands, is famous for its crystal-clear beaches. But beyond the postcard-perfect coastline, there’s so much more to uncover. Sardinia has a unique soul, shaped by ancient traditions. Its own language (Sardu), distinctive recipes, rare ingredients, and deep-rooted connections to music, dance, and craftsmanship make Sardinia a cultural experience unlike any other in Italy.
Over the years, my love for Sardinia has deepened as I’ve explored beyond the usual tourist trails. Now, I’m thrilled to invite you to join me on a week-long journey designed to showcase the island’s heart and soul. Together, we’ll explore central and southern Sardinia, diving into its culinary heritage, uncovering its rich history, and meeting locals who keep centuries-old traditions alive.
I hope you’ll join me for this special adventure—a week filled with authentic flavors, hidden gems, and unforgettable experiences. By the end, you’ll have a deeper appreciation not just for Sardinia’s beauty but also for its people, their stories, and their way of life.
