Elizabeth Minchilli EATING MY WAY THOUGH ITALY November 2019 Newsletter I usually think about holidays and what’s happening in the world before I write a blog post or send out a newsletter. I’m certainly not going to write to people on days like New Year’s or July 4th when I know they are busy with real life events (eating!) (and drinking!) elsewhere. But yesterday, while I was talking to my step mother, she said an interesting thing, that I hadn’t considered. While I know that Tuesday is election day in the States and have long since sent in my ballot, she said a lot of people she knew, were waiting to make plans until after the election. Not that the results would immediately effect them one way or the other. But that people were kind of just holding their breath. Waiting to see what would happen. Which I totally get. But which hadn’t in the least occurred to me in my own little world here in Italy.
