Read Henning Mankell’ s Kurt Wallanger detective novels. Or Norway’s Jo Nesbo. All excellent and very Nordic. But Im going out on a limb here and strongly recommending Miranda July’s new book “All Fours”.

I’m with you on the food, I like so many things and I do like variety. If I had to pick one thing that I would really, really miss it would be pizza. For an entertaining tv series (Netflix) set in Iceland you might enjoy The Valhalla Murders. Bon Voyage!

I can't live without lettuce. Good lettuce, butter lettuce. Because I can't live without salad, or without a sandwich with crunch. And I don't like coleslaw.

Hi Elizabeth, Kathy Austin from Bronxville here! Loved your non-alcoholic adult bitter sodas video especially when you added the potato chips to your story. Your face lit up with happiness!

Have a great trip! I'd recommend this book: https://aneriel.dk/resin/ Her husband, Alex Riel, the great Danish jazz drummer just passed away a few weeks ago. She is a fabulous writer.

Lilja Sigurdardottir's Icelandic trilogy: Cold as Hell, Red as Blood, and White as Snow. Nordic, dark, and really fun.
