Just finished Sirens and loved it. I now feel entitled to my own New England style hone where i can throw parties. I just discovered your substack and i love it. I love to write about my travels and food is such a big part!
I have Law & Order SVU reruns running in the background all the time. I’ve read that watching old shows provides a sense of familiarity, predictability and control that soothes us when we are anxious or depressed. And who better than Olivia Benson to do that?
Sophie and I always rewatch old seasons when we are on our own during dinner. But I have to admit I haven't gone as far back as season 1 in quite a while. It's SO un-PC, it's kind of shocking. Also: All the men still have their hair. ;)
The tour with Evan to Puglia was exactly as you described. We came for the food and to see a new area of Italy and formed lasting friendships. The group bonded almost immediately.
I finished binge watching Sirens last night. Loved the house, the cast and enough twists and turns to keep me coming back. I also watch old pilots. ER took me back to 1994…
ER is actually one of the programs I had trouble getting back into. But I do love it when certain scenes pop up on TikTok. Even if they are the incredibly sad ones.
Sirens - so well cast and just unpredictable enough- and, yes, that plunging number intended for the gala - we all need to wear out ball gowns around the house
Yes yes - Sirens is such a guilty pleasure!! Bathe me in Lilly Pulitzer!!
Loved the Lily, but what I really want to be able to pull off are those slinky gowns!
Yesss
It seriously has me wanting to dig out the box of it I have in the very back corner of the magazzino! 💗💚💗
I think it's time for us to re-invest in headbands.
Happy to see you in the Eater piece— you’re the OG!

Evan is one of the people who inspire me to create community! That's her in the opening photo on the right.

OMG those gala dresses!!! Also? I think I need an in-house seamstress.
Thanks for the tips on Bologna! My daughter Kate is starting grad school there in the fall! ❤️🇮🇹😍
My pleasure!
I remember loving the first season of Outlander (a billion years ago) but never got beyond that
Everyone else loves it.
