Love the pasta frittata idea. Whenever we're closing up the house, we invariably wind up with a few eggs, some leftover pasta, etc. This will be our "closing day" lunch tradition!

You asked what you're missing RE Tom Lake, and it's Meryl Streep! :) If you do move to the audio version I vote for listening at 1.25 speed. It's waaaay too slow at the regular pace.

Well that just sounds weird. ;)

On our final week of three in Puglia, I want to recommend a restaurant in Bari. After a tour of the Petruzelli Theater, we ate nearby at Al Sorso Preferito. The best grilled octopus I have eaten in Puglia, plus the original classic Spaghetti all’Assassina. Spicy, crisp and delicious. You and or Sophie must check it out! PS I listened to Tom Lake and did not find it to be my favorite of her works.

I've been going to Al Sorso for about 35 years. ;) It was Domenico's mother's favorite restaurant. Glad you liked it too!

That’s a wonderful coincidence! It really was the best. Going again on our last night here.

I was with you for the first half of Tom Lake, but found myself caught up in the story through the second half. Maybe you’ll have the same experience??

Hope so!

I’m with you Elizabeth on Tom Lake. I tried twice to listen to the audio version and I couldn’t get any traction. We’re obviously in the minority.

I just hit play on Tom Lake! So far it’s been good company while I cook.

It’s blustery & rainy here in Venice today, making it hard to imagine that we were taking a sunset walk by the water only last week in Ortigia.

I'm just happy that I finally get to wear my jackets!

Another vote for the audio book of "Tom Lake." It's read by Meryl Streep and it's gorgeously done.
