Elizabeth Minchilli EATING MY WAY THOUGH ITALY Happy Holidays 2018 No, I’m not writing from a snowy Rome. This photo is from 2012, when the city was blanketed under a covering of white. To say it was magical is an understatement. I knew, from the first moment I woke up that morning, that it had snowed. I could feel it in my bones: that amazing sensation that life as we know it is suspended. A snow day. I know a lot of you live in climes where snow can get a bit annoying after a while, but here in Rome, where snows like this come about every 15 years or so, it’s still a thing of wonder. And one that brings me back to every childhood hope of a white Christmas.
