Hello from a very rainy day in Rome. I’m not complaining though. I actually love the rain, especially when I don’t have a real reason to go out. Sure, I miss taking a walk (I might put on my new rain hat and go out anyway) but I love any excuse to get cozy inside. At the moment I’m cuddled up in my office with a few candles lit, a mug of ginger tea and kitty passed out under my computer screen. Heaven.
I read the Jane Austen Society and I loved it. Natalie Jenner has a new book coming out, The Bloomsbury Girls. I can't wait to read it. I love your newsletter. Thanks
Oh Elizabeth! I was there! Yesterday was my birthday and I’d asked my husband to take me to Rome. Today we went to the Vatican, the Spanish steps and the Fontana di Trevi. What a shame about the weather. I’ve never been so wet before. We’re on the train now on our way back to Tuscany. I can see the weather is going to be good in Rome tomorrow. Still, we managed to consume some wonderful pasta and wine so not a total disaster. I’m still damp, though!
